WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING TASIGNA CASES

The story behind Invokana is very similar to Januvia, Accutane, Byetta, and other dangerous drugs. Tasigna® (Nilotinib)  has been prescribed to thousands of Americans suffering from varying forms of Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) According to studies by The American Society of Hematology, a link has been found between the popular cancer drug and atherosclerosis, more commonly known as "hardening of the arteries". This connection is causing life-threatening complications in patients who take Tasigna®.

What is Atherosclerosis?

Atherosclerosis, or hardening of the arteries, is a condition whereby fat and cholesterol build up in the arteries, then become hardened by fibrous tissue and calcification. As this hardened mass or "plaque" grows, it narrows the lumen of the artery (the space in the artery tubes), thereby reducing both the oxygen and blood supply to the affected organ (like the heart, eyes, kidney, legs, stomach, or the brain). The plaque may eventually severely block the artery, causing death of the tissue supplied by the artery, for example, heart attack or stroke.

Questions about filing a Tasigna® Lawsuit

What can I expect from filing a lawsuit against the maker of Tasigna®, Novartis? The process is easy for you as our firm has been involved in Pharmaceutical Litigation for tens of thousands of clients. Our attorneys are court appointed in other defective drug litigations enabling us to help to put the needs of our clients first so we can resolve their cases quickly and for maximum value. The most frequent complaint is about the time involved in a case. These cases take time because the firm must hire experts for research/testimony, that will allow us to prove your case and others just like it in court, and the process can be time-consuming. Predicting how long a case will take is a confidential question to ask one of our lawyers when you call.   Are you going to sue my doctor? No. Your doctor may not be at fault and this is not a medical malpractice case. This is a case about a drug company failing to warn both patients and doctors about studies that have shown an increase in the likelihood to harm patients. This prevents giving both doctors and patients the option to decide if they wanted to take the drug or seek alternative treatment.     How much does it cost to file a claim? If you have visited multiple websites about Tasigna lawsuits you will likely find that there is no cost to file a claim regardless of the law firm you choose. All fees for medical records, intake, court filing fees, attorneys fees, etc., are covered by our law firm. This is known as a "contingency fee" arrangement and is common. If your claim is not successful for any reason, you owe us nothing out of pocket.   I have other questions which are not found here, where can those be answered? 9 out of 10 people we speak with often have questions that are not answered here or elsewhere online. From age or marital status, to state of residence, military health programs, or the use of other prescription drugs, every person's case has elements which make their case unique.  The best way to ensure the information you receive is reliable and accurate to your case is to receive a consultation from an attorney, where you may ask questions specific to your medical history, side effects or other aspects of your life related to your medication.

All consultations are free, confidential, and there is no obligation to pursue a case should you choose not to.

Time limits do apply, so act today to get your questions answered.

Are side effects common? According the National Cancer Institute Study, Tasigna caused side effects in 98 percent of patients.   How serious are Tasigna's side effects? A medical journal on Leukemia published an article revealing a link between Tasigna and peripheral artery occlusive disease (PAOD). Results of the study showed that individuals who take Tasigna are more likely to develop PAOD than those who took a competing medication.   What are my chances of winning a lawsuit? This depends on your circumstances. Novartis has already faced lawsuits. In 2015, Novartis AG agreed to pay the U.S. Department of Justice $390 million to settle a federal Tasigna lawsuit regarding the illegal payments to physicians for prescribing Tasigna as well as false and misleading advertising. An experienced pharmaceutical litigation attorney can help you determine if you should file a claim.
