$6 Million Medical Malpractice Settlement

July 1, 2019

Our client underwent a discectomy back procedure at a local hospital, which resulted in a sever to the thyroid artery.  He then developed post-operative bleeding in his neck, which led to a blocked airway and eventually hypoxic brain damage. This left him in a temporary coma and with significant permanent disabilities.  As part of the settlement, we also negotiated the waiver of one million dollars in liens against the client’s case. We were happy to be able to reach this settlement with the hospital early in the case in order to achieve an early recovery for our client so that all of his and his family's needs can be covered.
