This settlement is for non-economic losses (pain and suffering) only, an amended claim for economic losses (ex. loss of earnings) is under review. Our client worked for the New York National Guard. He worked close to the pit as an armed guard and on the convoys that transported troops from the World Trade Center Site to the Jacob Javits Center. He was also part of the recovery efforts, digging through the rubble to look for remains and evidence. His exposure was approximately 90 days (8 hours per day). He now suffers from Hodgkin's Lymphoma, asthma and sleep apnea.
