Our client arrived at her office building in the morning when she slipped and fell on a puddle of water in the main lobby. Our client sustained an avulsion fracture of her right foot, numerous herniated discs and right shoulder tears that required two surgical procedures. During the course of discovery and party depositions, we were able to uncover that the employees of the building failed to take the necessary safety actions and precautions regarding the lobby and wet floor on the day of our client’s fall. Furthermore, the defendants were in violation of numerous sections in the International Building Code and International Maintenance Code.
