This settlement was obtained on behalf of a client who suffered a nearly fatal cardiac arrest. The patient needed to be resuscitated but ultimately fell into a lengthy coma after being administered the general anesthesia bupivacaine. Anethesiologists knew the risk of administering this drug, yet still proceeded, putting the patient at an unnecessary risk.
