New York Attorney General Letitia James secured $523 million in settlements from drugmaker Teva
Pharmaceuticals for its role in fueling the opioid crisis, finalizing her yearslong litigation against
opioid manufacturers and distributors.
In a press release posted on Nov. 3, the New York Attorney General’s Office says the settlements resolve
New York’s claims against Teva, the final remaining defendant that is not in bankruptcy in a wide-ranging opioid case.
