Our client was crossing at a pedestrian crosswalk while the cross light was green for her when she was struck by an 18-wheeler truck. She was knocked to the ground and dragged by the truck. As a result, our client had an above knee amputation of her left leg and suffered extensive fractures and displacements to her right leg with the possibility of a total right knee replacement. She required prosthetic fittings, assisted walking devices, physical therapy as well as post-traumatic stress counseling.
