Two years after the tragic death of Long Island dance instructor and cherished community member Andrea Kolbe, her husband has filed a medical malpractice lawsuit with Napoli Shkolnik against multiple providers and facilities within the Northwell Health system.

The complaint, originally filed in October in Queens County Court, alleges delays in diagnosing and treating her postpartum depression and seeks accountability for what the family describes as substandard care that contributed to her passing.

A Loss That Resonated Throughout the Community

Andrea Kolbe was widely respected as a teacher, mentor, and co-owner of a local dance center. Her loss deeply impacted her students, colleagues, and the broader dance community.
