Congressman Brian Higgins (NY-26) released a statement in support of a lawsuit filed by the City of Buffalo and Mayor Byron Brown taking legal action against the firearm industry. 

Higgins said, “The big gun industry is marketing to incite madness and profiting off the pain. Firearms are now the leading cause of death for children in the United States, responsible for terrorizing neighborhoods across the country. For too long there has been no accountability and no repercussions for those whose dealings and negligence is inflicting suffering on communities and families. I applaud the City of Buffalo and Mayor Brown for taking this action toward the goal of protecting the public and saving lives.”
