Napoli Shkolnik has filed a class action lawsuit against the makers of the chemicals used in firefighting foam at the former base, including 3M, the Dupont Company and Tyco Fire Products on behalf of a group of people who worked or lived at the former Pease Air Force Base. They allege that their exposure  to elevated levels of PFAS chemicals resulted in their serious medical conditions. The suit was filed by attorneys Patrick Lanciotti of New York City and local counsel in U.S. District Court in Concord. Lanciotti says, "Pease Air Force Base is unfortunately yet another example of the pervasiveness of the PFAS contamination affecting the entire nation. The medical costs of the people exposed to PFAS must be covered by the companies that manufactured and sold the dangerous products that caused their current and future health problems."
