$15.7 Million Personal Injury Settlement

An employee of the New York City Department of Education, our client was injured while at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to conduct an inspection of a malfunctioning steel-roll down gate with his supervisor. They met separately in the parking lot when a truck struck a concrete barrier causing it to fall on our client. Our client was admitted to the hospital with extreme injuries that resulted in multiple surgeries and ultimately the below knee amputation of both legs. In addition to rehabilitation, the need for lifelong medications, fitting for prosthetics and ongoing pain management, our client was diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
