Amanda Giovacco, 23, suffered “a traumatic brain injury and seizures” due to being “violently” struck on Aug. 8, 2016, alleges a civil complaint filed in Manhattan state Supreme Court. Joseph Napoli, Giovacco’s lawyer, said an oversized aluminum beer bottle that was full slammed into her head. “It exploded when it hit her,” said Napoli, a partner in the Manhattan-based law firm Napoli Shkolnik. “It ended up being a weapon in the hand of whoever threw it.” “This oversized aluminum beer bottle should not have been in Madison Square Garden,” said Napoli. “It was there as a result of improper security or improper control of beer being served at the Garden.”
