Hunter Shkolnik Quoted on Opioid Defendant, Teva

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. should return to court to explain “significant and intentional misrepresentations” it made in winning dismissal from a high-stakes opioid case last year, New York’s attorney general said.

Hunter Shkolnik, a lawyer for counties that are plaintiffs in the state’s case, agreed that NY Attorney General James’s new findings are significant.

“The distorted and false affidavit submitted by Teva prejudiced not only the state but each of the counties that were pursuing the same claims, and we will be bringing the Israeli company back into the courtroom,” Shkolnik said in a phone call.
