Our client was working as a physical therapist at a nursing home facility when she suffered from an electric shock while attempting to remove a laptop charger from an outlet, both of which were owned and controlled by the defendant. The defendants had a no pay position throughout the entirety of the litigation and the matter eventually went to trial in U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York.
The matter settled for $160,000 after the first day of trial.
