John’s practice is focused on civil litigation in the environmental law area, particularly assisting those injured by contaminated water at Camp Lejeune or by exposure to PFC (Polyfluorinated compounds including GenX), EtO (Ethylene Oxide), and other contaminants leaching from a landfills or industrial sites.
He has practiced a broad range of civil litigation representing injured persons, defendants and decedents estates in state and federal courts across the breadth of North Carolina. His work has taken him to the east and west coasts of the United States.
John resides in Wilmington, N.C. whose primary water supply is downstream from the Chemours plant which dumped PFCs into the Cape Fear River. John is a co-chair of the Environmental Committee of the Wilmington Rotary Club, a chalice bearer in his church and a member of the board of directors of his Homeowner’s Association. He enjoys kayaking, hiking and reading, especially at the beach with his wife of 34 years.
