Chris a obtenu son doctorat en droit de la faculté de droit de l'Université St. John's, où était le Gagnant/Meilleur défenseur du concours de procès civil de 1992. Après avoir obtenu son diplôme de St. John's, Chris a travaillé comme assistant du procureur de district dans le comté de Queens, à New York, où il a poursuivi des accusés lors de procès pour des crimes allant du vol à l'homicide.
