In a move that made headlines in several prestigious law journals, a Rhode Island federal judge dismissed a lawsuit against \u201ctop lawyers Marie Napoli <\/a>and Paul Napoli<\/a>,\u201d citing a complete lack of jurisdiction to hear the claims alleged against them.<\/p>\n

U.S. District Judge William Smith not only dismissed most of the underlying claims, but also ordered the remainder of the action transferred to another court. Judge Smith essentially concluded that the plaintiff\u2019s unsubstantiated claims against Napoli Shkolnik and its predecessor firm were entirely without merit.<\/p>\n

The remainder of the action will now move to a Manhattan federal court, where Paul Napoli expects that \u201cwe [will] win our motion 100 percent just as we did in Rhode Island.\u201d Marie Napoli added that she was relieved to have this action behind her, so that they can continue to focus on moving their firm\u2019s cases forward and obtaining results for their clients.<\/p>\n
