Napoli Shkolnik is proud to congratulate Partner Harold “Hank” Naughton, for his appointment as an Associate Justice of the Massachusetts District Court. He will replace Judge Margaret Guzman on the bench.
A native of Clinton, Massachusetts, Hank served in the Massachusetts House from 1995 to 2021, consistently and successfully advocating for environmental and water protection in Central Massachusetts and throughout the Commonwealth. He brought his environmental advocacy to Napoli Shkolnik when he opted against a reelection bid.
At Napoli Shkolnik, Hank took a leadership role advising clients and working with water districts, municipalities, counties, and other entities whose water supplies have been negatively impacted by the use of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) by airports, military bases and local industries.
He also served as Counsel to the National Rural Water Association (NRWA), an organization with 30,000 members. A decorated Army veteran of multiple tours in Iraq, Afghanistan, Central Africa and elsewhere, Hank also was the Executive Director of the firm’s Veterans Advocacy Group.
“It was an honor having Hank provide leadership on several areas of the most important environmental and Veteran litigations and injustices facing the nation,” said Partner Paul Napoli. “We all wish him success in his new role and thank him for his outstanding services to our clients and the greater good.”
