Ms. Mitchell is a Senior Associate with Napoli Shkolnik PLLC and is Head of the California Office of Napoli Shkolnik PLLC.

She has been primarily involved in the firm’s Opioid Epidemic Litigation Team and the current Opioid Epidemic Trials presently underway.

She was recently a part of the Trial Team in the precedent-setting landmark Federal Jury Trial Verdict in Ohio representing Plaintiffs against Pharmacy Defendants, and the $320 million-dollar landmark settlement reached on behalf of Cuyahoga County (Ohio); one of the Bellwether Plaintiffs in the National Opioid Epidemic Litigation. (November 23, 2021).   Damages are set to be adjudicated before Judge Polster in Spring 2022 for which each County will be seeking over $1 billion in damages. Ms. Mitchell is a part of the Trial Team in the upcoming Damages and Abatement Trial.

Ms. Mitchell was additionally part of the firm’s Trial Team in its recent precedent- setting landmark Federal Jury Trial Verdict in New York representing Plaintiffs against the manufacturers and distributors of opioids.  The jury held Teva Pharmaceuticals USA, Inc., Cephalon, Inc., Actavis, LLC, Actavis Pharma, Inc., Watson Laboratories, Inc., and Anda, Inc. responsible for causing a public nuisance.  Ms. Mitchell is a part of the Trial Team in the upcoming Damages and Abatement Trial.

Ms. Mitchell was part of the Trial Team that successfully obtained a $1.1 Billion Settlement with the three largest drug distributors, AmerisourceBergen, Cardinal Health and McKesson, in the first opioid New York Opioid Jury trial.

Ms. Mitchell was additionally part of the Trial Team that successfully obtained a $50 Million settlement in the New York Opioid Jury Trial with Endo Pharmaceuticals, who agreed to this settlement to end their involvement in the NY opioid jury trial, where the company was accused of its role in the opioid epidemic.

She is also a part of the firm’s various Mass Tort Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Litigation, Complex Commercial Litigation, Medical Malpractice, Wrongful Death, Personal Injury and Consumer Class Actions.  Ms. Mitchell began her career at Kirtland & Packard as a Medical Malpractice Defense Attorney.

Raised in both Germany and the United States, Ms. Mitchell has also lived in Holland, France and England.

Jury Verdict in New York Opioid Jury Trial
Ms. Mitchell was part of the Trial Team representing Plaintiffs Nassau and Suffolk County in the landmark Opioid litigation case for which a Federal Jury voted unanimously in favor of the liability of the manufacturers and distributors in a precedent-setting Opioid Litigation lawsuit under Justice Jerry Garguilo. (Napoli Shkolnik is Counsel to Nassau County.)

Civic Engagement and Philanthropic Pursuits

In her free time she works as a Spokesperson for numerous charities including the Midnight Mission on Skid Row to assist the homeless and homeless veterans, Support the Troops, and abused and battered women. She also annually mentors numerous inner-city youth to prepare for and complete College Admissions Applications.
